 Golden Pass LNG is committed to providing opportunities for local contractors, suppliers and vendors to participate in all phases of the project. In early May 2005, we initiated the bidding process for the prime Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract for the LNG terminal with several EPC bidders. Local content plans were requested from each prime EPC contract bidder during that bidding process. On August 1, 2006, Golden Pass Terminal LLC announced that it has awarded a lump-sum turnkey contract to Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I) for the engineering, procurement and construction of the Golden Pass LNG terminal.
