Overall, the Golden Pass Pipeline timeline is on a similar timeline to the
Golden Pass LNG Terminal project. We have defined
our
pipeline route and are in the midst of the permitting process. The process is led by
the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and is estimated to take about
18 months. The Golden Pass Pipeline application was submitted along with
the Golden Pass LNG Terminal application in July/August 2004. The Golden Pass Pipeline LP is holding
a FERC open season between November 29, 2004, and January 27, 2005. As federal
and state permit applications are being applied for and approved, Golden Pass
Pipeline LP would begin acquisition of the pipeline right-of-way, estimated
to
take through the end of 2006. Engineering design, construction bids and some
of the pipeline materials would be purchased to begin construction prior to
mid-2007.
The construction period should take about one year and would coincide with the
start-up of the LNG receiving terminal.
